Usually, your card transactions and receipts are matched automatically, and in exceptional cases, you can resolve them through manual matching. But there are cases in which manual matching is also unavailable.
The manual matching doesn’t work if the discrepancy between the transaction and expense amount is too large (outside the set tolerance), usually occurring due to fees or currency rates.
You can avoid this problem by you temporarily increasing the value for the accepted deviation (tolerance).
Adjusting the matching tolerances
- Go to the Settings > Card settings > Transaction settings.
- Find the Expense-transaction matching tolerances section.
- In the Auto-matching / Manual matching subsection, temporarily change the Accepted deviation and Accepted deviation in % to a tolerance limit that allows the matching to happen.
- Click Save to keep the changes.
After matching the transaction and expense report, ask the account admin to reset the Accepted deviation and Accepted deviation in % to their previous level, and click Save to revert the tolerance limit to its original value.
By default, Perk configures a deviation of CHF50 or 10%. Take into account that transaction fees and other charges such as tips often generate a deviation of up to 10%.
