Add, edit, or delete companies

Only account admins can perform this task.

If your company has more than one legal entity, you’ll need to add a new company for each entity to your account. This will help you manage people and payments for each legal entity and make sure your trips are invoiced correctly.

There is no limit to the number of companies you can create, but employees can only belong to one company at a time. All trips are invoiced to the company the employee is assigned to. 

You’ll need to add at least one payment profile with a payment method for each company.

You can use flexible invoicing to let any employee select the company and payment profile they want to use for their trip.

If you have more than one company, you can set any of them as the default. New employees will automatically be assigned to the default company.

Add a company

  1. Go to Settings > Account > Companies.
  2. Click New company.
  3. Enter the company name, address, and Registration or VAT number. You can also enter an address display name, such as San Francisco HQ.
  4. Click Save.
  5. To add people, select the company and then click Manage people or use an identity provider, such as SSO.

 

Edit a company

  1. Go to Settings > Account > Companies.
  2. On the company you want to edit, click the three dots and then Edit details.
  3. Make the updates and click Save.
     

Change default company for an account

The first company created on your account is automatically established as the default company. Accounts have the flexibility to change it. 

  1. Go to Settings > Account > Companies
  2. Click the three dots next to the company you want to set as the default.
  3. Select Make default.

Delete a company

  1. Go to Settings > Account > Companies.
  2. On the company you want to delete, click the three dots and then select Delete company.
  3. If the company has travelers assigned to it, you will need to choose whether to Assign them to another company or Remove them.
  4. Check the box that you understand that deleting the company will also archive the payment profiles.
  5. Click Delete company.
     

Flexible invoicing

Flexible invoicing allows any employee to select the company and payment profile they want to use for their trip. Account admins have access to all companies and payment profiles on their account. 

  1. Go to Settings > Account > Companies.
  2. Under Flexible invoicing, tick the box All people can invoice trips to any company.
