Integrate Pleo with Perk

Only available for Premium and Pro accounts.
Only account admins can perform this task.

Pleo is a business spending solution that offers smart payment cards and automated expense reports. Pleo collects receipts, categorizes expenses based on previous behavior, and creates expense reports.

The Pleo integration

The Pleo integration automatically imports your payment transactions and a PDF invoice from Perk as soon as you book a trip. 

Perk allows Pleo to read your company’s Perk invoice data, including the trip ID, total booking amount, currency, PDF invoice, and booking category, such as flights or hotels. 

Only bookings made using a Pleo card are automatically added to your Pleo account.

How it works:

  • A booking is made on Perk using a Pleo card.
  • When tag syncing is enabled and configured for your entities, the person can select Pleo tags for a trip. The available tags are shown based on the company selected for the payment and are applied to the matching transaction in Pleo.
  • Changes to tags in Pleo will sync to Perk.
  • Tags in Perk are refreshed automatically every 24 hours or can be refreshed manually at any time from the integration configuration page.
  • The purchase will be automatically categorized in Pleo, and the invoice from Perk will be automatically added to the expense, reducing manual work.
  • If a personal Pleo card is used, the transaction and invoice are added to the cardholder’s account. If a vendor card is used, the transaction and invoice are added to the Pleo account that owns the card.

Enable the Pleo integration 

You must be an admin for both the Pleo and Perk accounts.

The admin who enables the integration must remain an active account admin on Perk for the integration to continue working. In Pleo, the installation is tied to the company account and can be managed by any account admin.

Only bookings made using a Pleo card are automatically added to your Pleo account. To add a Pleo card to your account, see Create, edit, delete, or archive a payment profile

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find the Pleo integration and click Set up.
  3. Click Enable.
  4. Authorize the integration to access your Pleo data. For multi-entity organizations, this includes authorizing organization-level connections.
  5. Authorize the Perk Integration to have access to your invoice data.

Note: If you have multiple entities, ensure they are added in both Perk and Pleo before enabling the integration. 

Configure the Pleo integration

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find the Pleo integration and click Set up.

  3. Next to Sync cost fields, click Configure.
  4. Choose which tags you want to sync from Pleo to Perk. All unselected tags will be archived and won’t be visible to travelers.

Tags are refreshed on Perk every 24 hours. They can be initiated on demand from the integrations configurations page on Perk. 

Custom fields imported through the Pleo integration no longer count towards the plan limits

 

Multi-entity organizations

If your organization has multiple entities associated with your Perk and Pleo accounts, you'll need to match the entities on both tools. 

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find the Pleo integration and click Set up.

  3. Review and match your Pleo entities with companies in Perk, then click Confirm and continue.
  4. To select which tags you want to sync from Pleo to Perk, click Configure in the Action column for each company.


     
  5. Choose the specific tags you want to sync. All unselected tags will be archived in Perk and won’t be visible to employees.
  6. To save your tag selections for that company, click Sync tags.


     
  7. Repeat this for all companies you want to configure.
  8. To finalize the integration, click Complete set up at the bottom of the main table. 

Tags won’t be synced for companies that you haven't configured. Tags are refreshed on Perk every 24 hours. They can be initiated on demand from the integrations configurations page on Perk. 

Using the Pleo integration

  1. Book a trip on Perk using your Pleo card. If applicable, choose from the Pleo tags you’ve set up in Perk.


     
  2. Once the booking is complete, go to your Pleo account and open the Expenses section. You’ll see a new transaction with a title that includes Perk.


      
  3. The PDF invoice will appear within a few minutes, along with any tags you selected when booking. Click the transaction to view the invoice.
  4. Click the preview to open it.

Disable the Pleo integration

Account admins can disable the Pleo integration by following the instructions on Manage integrations.
