Integrate Airbase with Perk

Only available for Premium and Pro accounts.
Only account admins can perform this task.

Airbase is a modern spend management system that combines guided procurement, accounts payable automation, expense management, and a corporate card program. 

The Airbase integration

The Airbase integration automatically attaches receipts to the associated transactions, including any fees from Perk. You can associate out-of-pocket expenses with travel costs booked on Perk and split card transactions into different categories. 

Airbase can only import new invoices. To import past invoices, contact the Airbase team. 

The integration supports Airbase, SVB, and American Express corporate cards, including both virtual and physical cards.

  • Whenever you book a trip on Perk, the travel costs are forwarded to the Airbase. 
  • The selected receiver will instantly receive a new expense in their Airbase inbox, with all information pre-filled to help add it to an Airbase report.

Mandatory requirements

  • The invoice cycle on your Perk account must be set to Instant. To update the invoice frequency, see Change the billing cycle. 
  • For the receipt auto-match to work, the employee must have an Airbase and Perk account. 

Recommendation

Airbase recommends that employees pay using pre-approved department virtual cards, which can be set as a payment profile on Perk. 

Enable the Airbase integration 

You must be an account admin for Perk and have Developer permissions on Airbase. 

  1. Check with your Airbase account manager that the integration feature has been enabled for your Airbase account.
  2. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  3. Find the Airbase integration and click Set up

  4. Click Enable.
  5. Log in to your Airbase admin account.

  6. Click Authorize App.
  7. On the Airbase Dashboard, you’ll see a banner notifying you that a new expense report has been auto-added.

  8. You can also find the automatically created Expense Reports by going to Expense Reports > Drafts.

Note: Integrations are authorized at the account level, meaning they are not tied to a specific user. This ensures that the connection remains active and valid even if individual users change roles or leave the company.

Disable the Airbase integration

Account admins can disable the Airbase integration by following the instructions on Manage integrations.
