In some cases, you may need to re-export an invoice to the finance and accounting system for multiple reasons:
- the export was incomplete
- the document was not correctly sent
- there were errors during the export stage
As a financial reviewer, you can revert a single invoice if something went wrong. This action changes the invoice’s status from Exported to Ready for export, so it can be included in the next export process.
Caution: Use extreme consideration when reverting invoices, as it may lead to double-booked entries. If you export an invoice that was already booked again, you may cause double reimbursements or other accounting issues.
Check the finance/accounting system first and make any appropriate changes before reverting the invoice export in Perk.
Note: You can only revert single documents, not an entire export job.
Reverting an invoice
You can revert invoices from Finance > Review > Search by going to the Invoices tab and filtering invoices by Exported status.
Tip: If you have both the financial reviewer and auditor roles, you can also search for exported invoices in Finance > Audit > Search.
When you click on the exported invoice to revert, an additional button Revert export is displayed in the invoice header:

In the popup window, enter the reason for reverting the invoice:

The action is logged in the invoice history and the invoice is moved to Ready for export status.
