Canceled and delayed trains
If your train is canceled and you are already at the station, contact station staff to find out your options. Depending on the train company and your fare type, you might be able to use the same ticket to get on another train.
For example, for most Deutsche Bahn cancellations, you can use your ticket for the next available train on the same route. Or in the UK, if you have an Anytime ticket, you can use the ticket for other trains on the same route.
If you need to book another train, go to Perk or contact us, and we'll help you find alternative arrangements.
Make sure to let us know if your train was cancelled so we can request a refund.
If your train is delayed, you might be entitled to compensation. Perk can't apply for compensation on your behalf. The traveler needs to contact the train company themselves, and any compensation will normally go to you, not your company.
For example, in the UK and EU, there are schemes such as Delay and Repay or the EU Rail Passenger Rights Regulations. But in the US, it's usually based on the train company's policies.
Canceled hotels
If your hotel or Airbnb is cancelled before you arrive, you can book another one on Perk. You can also contact us, and we can help you find alternative accommodation and request a refund.
If you are already at the hotel or Airbnb and it's cancelled, contact us and we'll help you resolve the issue.
If a hotel cancels your booking, they may be required to offer an alternative. The best way to find out about this is to talk to the hotel staff.
