Expense submission just got smoother

Expense Invoice Card February 23, 2026

We’ve redesigned the expense submission experience to make it faster and clearer.

  • Easier receipt viewing: The receipt viewer now appears on the right side of the screen, giving you better access to controls like zoom, rotation, and more. We've also reduced the receipt image size to keep things streamlined.
  • Clearer actions: The Submit button is now the primary action, making it obvious when you’re ready to send your expense for approval. Save is still available as a secondary option when you need to come back later.
  • Simpler form labels: We've renamed the Description field to Title for clarity. We’ve also highlighted which fields are optional, so you know exactly what's required.

Improved My tasks page

We've updated the My tasks page to include:

  • Clearer tabs: The restyled tabs now make it easier to see what information you’re viewing at a glance.
  • Streamlined expense creation: You can now create all expense types from a single Create expense button—just choose the type you need from the dropdown list. The Trip expenses and Invoices tabs work the same way, with dedicated buttons to create new trips and invoices.
  • Quick actions in tables: We’ve added action buttons directly in the tables, so you can edit expenses and trips with a single click. You’ll also find pagination controls at the bottom of each table.

More flexible North American hotel inventory

In North America, Perk offers flexible payment options, even allowing customers to pay vendors directly for trips booked on Perk. Recently, we have released new hotel rates to increase the total inventory available. Travelers can now choose whether they want to pay in advance, pay on arrival, and now Pay Perk in advance.

Travel Expense Invoice Card Events February 16, 2026

You can now use Perk’s web and mobile app in Dutch. This is available to all users, meaning that you can handle all of your bookings and settings in het Nederlands. Just go to your profile, update your language settings, and you’re all set.

This brings the languages we support to six languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian & Dutch.

Never miss a trip update in mobile

Real work doesn’t wait for manual checks. If a mobile update silences your notifications, Perk will let you know—keeping everything moving and your travel flexible:

  • Right after you complete a booking
  • When you check in the mobile Notification Center

Remember, the Perk app gives you real-time push notifications for:

  • Travel changes: cancellations, changes in booking required, sold out travel options, messages from Perk agents
  • Important trip info: connecting flight info, departure gates or platforms, departure delays or early departures, baggage carousel info, flight check-in open
  • Trip approvals: trip request to be approved or trip request declined

Seat selection experience

We’ve improved the new seat selection process when your chosen seat is sold out. If your selected seat becomes unavailable by the time you check out or your booking request is approved, Perk automatically searches for an equivalent alternative where possible. For example, if you selected an aisle seat, Perk assigns another aisle seat; if you selected a window seat, Perk assigns another window seat. Perk won’t assign an exit row unless one was originally chosen. Among all matching options, Perk selects the seat closest to your original choice.

This automatic reassignment applies only to free seats. If your selected seat is chargeable and becomes unavailable, one of Perks agents will contact you to agree on a suitable alternative.

CO2e information in Cars search

Your company may have commitments or even legal requirements to reduce your CO2e emissions. When booking cars, travelers now see all the information they need to make a more sustainable choice. Car rental offers can be sorted by a new Most Sustainable sort option, displays offers with the lowest CO2e footprint.

Streamlined cost object approvals

We have implemented cost object owners to simplify the process of setting up travel approvals. You can now set up a single rule to automatically send requests to the right person, based on cost object. Approval settings are automatically updated based on cost object owner, saving the need to update this manually when things change.

VAT notice for Latin American bookings

In some Latin American countries, local tourism laws mean certain guests are exempt from VAT, while others are not. Since hotels often collect VAT at check-in (and this can vary by hotel), travelers need to know that VAT may apply upfront, even when they expect everything to be fully paid in advance. You can see this notice on the rate details page when booking, and in the confirmation email sent after booking.
