Turn on dark mode

Dark mode lets you change how Perk looks on your device. Use this article to turn it on and switch between themes on web, iOS, and Android.

What dark mode does

Dark mode changes Perk's color theme across the app, replacing light backgrounds with dark ones. You choose a theme once, and it applies on that device only. You can pick Light, Dark, or Auto — the automatic option checks your device's setting and switches Perk between light and dark to match it.

Note: On iOS and Android, Perk switches instantly if you change your device's setting while the app is open. On web, Perk checks your device's setting when you sign in or reload the page — changing your device's setting won't update an already-open tab until you refresh it.

Turn it on — web

On Perk web, you choose your theme in your profile.

  1. Go to your profile.
  2. Select the Preferences tab.
  3. In Appearances, select Light, Dark, or Auto.
  4. Confirm your choice to start using Perk with that theme.

Turn it on — iOS

Note: Update to the latest version of the Perk mobile app from the App Store to use dark mode.

By default, the mobile app uses your device's theme settings. But you can override them in the mobile app settings:

  1. Open the Perk app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Go to Profile Appearance.
  3. Select Light, Dark, or Follow system.

Turn it on — Android

Note: Update to the latest version of the Perk mobile app from the Google Play Store to use dark mode.

By default, the mobile app uses your device's theme settings. But you can override them in the mobile app settings:

  1. Open the Perk app on your Android device.
  2. Go to Profile Appearance.
  3. Select Light, Dark or Follow system.

Change your theme later

You can switch your theme anytime after your first setup:

  • On web, go to Profile > Preferences > Appearance and select a new theme. 
  • On iOS and Android, go to Profile > Appearance and select a new theme.

Good to know

Your theme preference is stored on each device separately and isn't synced across devices. You can set a different theme on your phone, tablet, and computer, and each one keeps its own setting.
