Use this article to book an Airbnb stay on Perk. You can search and book in the Airbnb tab next to Hotels & homes, or book through Concierge if the Airbnb tab isn’t available to you.
Note: You may not see the Airbnb tab yet. We’re releasing it to selected users, randomly chosen. If you don’t see it, book an Airbnb through Concierge instead. For the steps, see Booking an Airbnb through Concierge.
Booking an Airbnb in the Airbnb tab
There are two separate ways to book an Airbnb on Perk: search and book in the Airbnb tab next to Hotels & homes, or send a request through Concierge.
The Airbnb tab in Perk lets you search for Airbnb stays and see listings, photos, reviews, and real-time prices without leaving Perk. Airbnb stays join your trip itinerary and follow your company’s approval process. After your trip is approved, the Perk Customer Care team completes the booking with Airbnb, so booking isn’t instant.
In short: you search and choose a stay, your travel manager approves the trip, and the Customer Care team books it with Airbnb.
Each person involved has a different part in the booking:
| Role | What they do |
|---|---|
| Traveler | Searches the Airbnb tab, chooses a stay, adds an Airbnb account email, confirms travelers, and sends the trip for approval. |
| Travel manager | Reviews the approval request, selects Approve and pay or Decline, and edits billing information if needed. |
| Customer Care team | Completes the booking with Airbnb, emails your confirmation, and handles changes and cancellations. |
Searching for an Airbnb stay
Searching for an Airbnb stay in Perk works like searching for any other stay: you enter your destination and dates, then switch to the Airbnb tab.
- Enter your destination and dates.
- Select Airbnb next to Hotels & homes.
- Use filters to narrow your results.
- Compare the listings on the cards and on the map.
You can filter by:
- In-policy
- Free cancellation
- Guest favorite
- Wifi
- Air conditioning
- More options
Each listing card shows the price per night, rating, walking time, and cancellation terms. The map shows prices too. Badges help you spot favorites: stays you booked before, company favorites, and stays where your colleagues stayed.
Choosing a stay
Choosing an Airbnb stay in Perk starts with opening the full property page, where you can check everything about the listing before you continue.
The property page shows:
- Photos and host: A gallery, the Guest favorite badge, the host name, and Superhost status.
- The stay: A description, where you’ll sleep, amenities, and the location on a map.
- Guest reviews: Ratings and written reviews from Airbnb guests.
- Terms: The free-cancellation deadline and the check-in and check-out times.
- Price: Your dates, the number of adults, and the total price.
- Short-term rental license: The license details for the listing.
Note: Each listing shows its own free-cancellation deadline. Check the deadline before you send your trip for approval.
When you’ve found the right stay, select Continue.
Adding your Airbnb account
Adding your Airbnb account in Perk lets Perk book your stay with the Airbnb account email you enter.
- Review the price, including the total, what you pay in advance, and what you pay on arrival.
- Enter your Airbnb email. If you don’t have an account yet, select Sign up.
- If it’s your first Airbnb booking through Perk, authorize Perk in your Airbnb account so Perk can book for you. Follow the instructions on Booking an Airbnb on Perk for the first time.
- Read the house rules under Things to know, including check-in times, the guest limit, and safety information.
- Select Continue to itinerary.
Note: Perk shows prices in your profile currency, but Airbnb charges in USD.
Sending your trip for approval
Your Airbnb stay appears in your Perk trip itinerary with an Airbnb logo, next to flights, trains, and cars. Review the itinerary, then send the trip for approval.
- Check the dates, check-in and check-out times, and the free-cancellation date.
- Add or check the traveler details.
- Confirm whether the trip is business or leisure.
- Select Continue to checkout.
If your company’s travel policy needs approval, Perk sends the trip to your travel manager. After the travel manager approves the trip, the Customer Care team completes the booking.
Approving or declining an Airbnb stay
Travel managers approve or decline Airbnb stays in Perk on one screen. Approval applies when your company’s travel policy needs it.
- Review the request, including who asked, the stay, the dates, and the total price. Perk flags out-of-policy items on the trip.
- If the billing information needs a change, select Edit billing information before you approve.
- Select Approve and pay or Decline.
After you book
After the Customer Care team completes your Airbnb booking in Perk, you’ll get emails and can use the Airbnb app for your stay. Host messages and check-in details live in the Airbnb app, not in Perk.
- Booking confirmed email: Shows your Trip ID, reservation number, address, dates, guests, and cancellation terms.
- Airbnb app: Lets you message your host, explore nearby, and view check-in details, even offline.
- Reminder email: Arrives before your stay with check-in details and a link to the Airbnb app. The email also links to help articles and urgent support.
To change or cancel your Airbnb booking, start from Manage trip. You can cancel the booking, change dates, add or change extras, or correct guest names. The Customer Care team confirms the price with the provider and books the change if it fits your travel policy. If the change is out of policy or unavailable, Perk asks for approval or contacts you to look at alternatives. For more information, see Change an Airbnb booking.
