Turn on out-of-office approvals

Sometimes prices increase, or services sell out if you don’t book them straight away, or if you are waiting for approval.

To avoid this, Perk allows you to determine how you manage out-of-office approvals, letting you choose who will manage your travel approval requests while you're on holiday or away from the office. You can set your out-of-office dates and choose a person to act as a travel delegate while you’re away.

Your company may have chosen to automatically synchronize your out-of-office from the HR tool. Any time you add any leave in your HR platform, Perk displays these out-of-office dates automatically. Any edits to your out-of-office dates must be made directly in your HR platform. However, you can set a travel delegate to approve any travel requests while you’re away.

Select your travel delegate and add your out-of-office dates

  1. In the bottom left corner of your Perk homepage, click Profile.
  2. Go to the Preferences tab and under Travel delegate, click Assign.


     
  3. Choose who can approve travel requests on your behalf and click Save.
  4. Under Out-of-office date, click Add dates.


     
  5. Select the start and end date, then click Save. You can add multiple dates. 

During the selected dates, all approval requests are automatically forwarded to your travel delegate.  

Managing your travel delegate and out-of-office dates

  • You can change your travel delegate at any time by clicking Edit
  • To delete a date, click the three dots next to the date and select Delete.  
  • You can't update dates. You need to delete the old dates and set new ones.
