If you have issues with a trip that involves a flight or train, you might be given a voucher/open ticket/travel credit. These can be used for your next trip with the same airline or train company.
Here are a few things to be aware of:
- The voucher must be used by the original traveler.
- Trips with a voucher can take longer to process as they are managed manually.
- Vouchers can’t be applied to all bookings. If the voucher can’t be applied, your selected payment method will be used to book the trip, and we'll let you know. This prevents price increases and flights or trains from selling out.
-
Vouchers expire, so you’ll need to use them before the expiry date, or check with our team to see if they can be extended.
- To view and manage your company’s vouchers, see Find information about vouchers and travel credits.
Apply flight or train vouchers to a booking
- Search for a flight or train.
- If you have a voucher/open ticket/travel credit available, you’ll see a banner with the amount.
- Select a flight or train with the airline or train company the voucher is from.
- Choose the fare and add any extras.
- Give your trip a name and click Continue.
- On the checkout page, you’ll be reminded that, if possible, the voucher will be used for your trip.
- Select the invoicing details and payment method, then click Confirm payment or Send approval request.
Our travel experts will manage your request manually, so you won’t receive the confirmation email immediately.
If the voucher can’t be applied, your selected payment method will be used to book the trip.
Once your trip is booked, the confirmation email includes the booking price breakdown with any applied vouchers.
Your invoice will show the full price of the booking without any voucher discounts.
