When your company upgrades from Yokoy to Perk, your card program will transition gradually. During this process, some aspects of your corporate cards will change, while others will stay the same. This guide covers what to expect and any actions you may need to take.
Your existing Yokoy cards continue to work
After upgrading to Perk, all your existing Yokoy corporate cards remain fully functional within the Perk app, no action is required. You can:
- View cards and card transactions in Perk
- Freeze, unfreeze cards, view details and report a stolen card in Perk
- Add cards to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet manually
- Continue using Yokoy lodge cards
Note: No changes are needed on your cardholders' side. Existing Yokoy cards work as normal until they are terminated.
New cards will be Perk Cards
From the moment your company is upgraded, any new cards you issue will be Perk Cards — Yokoy cards can no longer be ordered. Perk Cards bring an improved experience, including faster card expense creation and submission, real-time spending notifications and seamless in-app provisioning to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.
Perk Cards will have a new card number, expiry date, CVC, and PIN. As you did with Yokoy cards, cardholders must activate their Perk Card before it can be used. Physical cards are only shipped after activation. The day‑to‑day card management of the cards remains the same: viewing cards and transactions, freezing/unfreezing, viewing details, and reporting a stolen card.
Caution: Make sure to update any recurring subscriptions tied to the old Yokoy card number and plan ahead for card termination so you can export any needed reports and avoid disruption for in‑progress expenses.
To order new Perk Cards for your employees, see Order Perk Cards.
Terminate your Yokoy cards
We recommend you plan ahead for the termination of your existing Yokoy cards. Once terminated, cardholders should use their new Perk Cards for all future payments.
Caution: All remaining Yokoy cards will be automatically terminated on the deadline communicated to your company by Perk. We recommend terminating them proactively so you can manage the transition at your own pace.
To terminate Yokoy cards, see Manage your company's Perk Cards.
Tip: Order Perk Cards for your employees before terminating their Yokoy cards to avoid any gap in card availability.
Note: Terminated Yokoy cards and transaction records are not deleted completely. The behavior is the same as any terminated card. All associated expenses are kept in the system.
