Getting started with Perk lodge cards

Only account admins can perform this task.

Perk lodge cards are virtual cards, with the purpose of managing travel booking expenses (such as flights, train tickets, etc.). They allow you to manage travel expenses separately, thus using a single card for all travelers.

To set up your account to use Perk lodge cards, you need to:

  1. Complete the KYB process.
  2. Open a bank account in a country where Perk Card are available.
  3. Enable Perk lodge cards for the company.
  4. Assign a travel spend processor for the company.
  5. Create a lodge card.
  6. Add the lodge card as a payment method

Once the card is created, you can add it to your travel booking system as a payment method, and manage transactions, spending limits, and security settings directly in Perk.

Enable lodge cards for the company

Before you can create a new lodge card, you need to activate lodge cards for the specific company. 

The company address set up in Settings > Account > Companies must be located in a country where the Perk Cards are available.

  1. Go to Settings > Account > Company. 
  2. Click View spend settings. 
  3. Under Enable company cards, click on the toggle to Enable Perk lodge card. 
  4. Click Save.

Assign a travel spend processor role

Travel spend processors are responsible for creating and managing lodge cards, as well as managing all travel expenses created in Perk. 

Travel spend processors can see Cards > Lodge cards.

Create a lodge card

Travel spend processors can create a lodge card by clicking Create card. See Create a Perk lodge card.

Although account admins can create and manage lodge cards, it is recommended that you use a separate role for security purposes. Only the person who creates the lodge card can access the lodge card number, CVC, and expiry date. 

Add the lodge card as a payment method

The Perk lodge card can be added to the payment profile for use as the main payment method for all travel bookings. See Create a payment profile.

Note: You may choose to use another travel integration in Perk. If you plan to use another travel management integration, you must first set up the integration in Perk before you can the lodge card as a payment method.
