There are two types of bookings on Airbnb.
- Instant book: The booking is confirmed immediately.
- Approval required by the host: The host has 24 hours to approve or decline the booking request. If the host does not respond within 24 hours, the request expires.
Tip: You can filter Airbnb searches to avoid waiting for host approval. Click the Filters button, go to Booking options, and select Instant Book.
Book an Airbnb on Perk
If it’s your first time booking an Airbnb on Perk, before submitting your request, complete the actions on Booking an Airbnb on Perk for the first time.
You must use the email address for the first traveler’s Airbnb account. If you don’t, the host can decline the booking when you check in.
- On Airbnb’s website, find the accommodation you want to book.

Check the availability and price for the number of guests you require. If it’s available, you’ll be able to click the Reserve button.

At the top of the Airbnb page, click Share and then click Copy link.
- On Perk, go to the Concierge tab and select Airbnb.
- Add the travelers. The first traveler must be the person with an Airbnb account.
- Add the copied Airbnb link, booking dates, number of guests, total price listed on Airbnb, and the email for the first traveler’s Airbnb account.
- Select the payment details. The invoice profile, cost object, and custom fields will be linked to the first traveler.
- At the bottom of the form, click Let us know and include an alternate property that we can book if your selected property is not available.
- Click Send request.
If it’s your first Airbnb booking through Perk and you haven’t authorized Perk to book on your behalf, you’ll receive an email from Airbnb asking for your authorization.
Booking requests can expire if you do not accept the authorization promptly.
If you’ve selected an Airbnb that requires approval by the host, they have 24 hours to approve or decline the request.
When the booking is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email from Perk and Airbnb.
