Mileage expenses: automatic VAT and mandatory attachments

Account admins can now link tax rates directly to mileage rates, so Perk calculates and applies VAT automatically whenever an employee creates a mileage expense — whether entered manually or generated from a trip. For stepped mileage rates, each distance bracket can have its own tax rate, and the tax recalculates automatically if the mileage rate or distance changes. Admins can also now make attachments required for specific mileage rates, enforced on both web and mobile. This is particularly useful for UK customers, where VAT on mileage is a standard compliance expectation, and removes the need for employees or finance teams to calculate and enter tax manually on every claim.

Track your support requests in Perk

Travel Expense Invoice Card Events March 30, 2026

You can now see all your support requests in one place, directly in Perk. The new Support Center, accessible from the Help tab, shows every ticket you've raised or been copied on, with real-time status updates (In Progress, Awaiting your reply, Solved) and the ability to reply to open tickets without starting from scratch. Search and filter options make it easy to find what you're looking for — no more hunting through email threads or filing duplicate tickets just to get a status update.

Improved seat selection

We’ve continued working on flight seat selection, making the experience better for travelers:

  • Airline loyalty status recognition, showing seats that are free or exclusive based on the traveler's tier.
  • Detailed cabin layouts including seat shape, pitch, recline, width, and amenities.
  • Traveler-specific seat assignment, so there's no confusion about who sits where.
  • Synchronous seat booking — seats are confirmed alongside the flight, with no long processing states.

Ramp integration: booking details now sync to the memo field

Key booking details from Perk — such as trip purpose, traveler information, or custom notes — now flow automatically into the memo field in Ramp.

Finance teams reviewing transactions in Ramp previously had to cross-reference Perk to understand what a charge was for. With this update, that context arrives directly alongside the transaction. The Ramp memo field is customizable, so admins can guide travelers on what to include — for example, a travel reason — making reconciliation faster and audit trails clearer.

With this update:

  • Relevant booking details from Perk appear directly in the Ramp memo field.
  • Admins can set a custom description to guide travelers on what information to add.
  • Finance teams can reconcile faster and maintain clearer audit trails without switching between systems.

Instant alternatives for sold-out hotels

If your chosen hotel or rate sells out mid-booking, Perk automatically finds the next best thing so you can keep your momentum high.

Previously, a sold-out during the itinerary flow meant a frustrating stop — you had no choice but to start your search from scratch. Perk now identifies the specific reason a booking can't be completed (the hotel is fully booked, a specific room is unavailable, or a rate is no longer offered) and surfaces tailored alternatives based on that cause.

Price increases at checkout for car bookings

When the price of car rental increases at the final step of checkout, you see the exact change immediately and can accept the new price or start a new search. You see a banner with the exact price increase and can complete the booking yourself - no support tickets, no phone calls, no manual re-booking needed.

Reimbursements in trip confirmation emails

Perk now itemizes reimbursements alongside your original booking costs in the trip confirmation email, giving you an audit-ready view of your trip’s final price.

Before this change, when a change in stay generated a reimbursement, the trip confirmation email showed the original price with no sign of the reimbursement. Now everyone sees the same accurate total—no manual checking required.

Total self-service for SNCF, Ouigo, and Eurostar

If you want to change your round trip, you must make sure that both legs are with the same carrier, the change applies to all passengers on the booking, and your booking is not covered by FlexiTravel, has not been changed previously, or paid with a voucher.

Traveler details saved across bookings

When a traveler edits their name or details at checkout, those changes are now saved and applied to future trips automatically. 

Provisioning users via HR integrations means that travelers can’t edit their profile name directly. Any name change at checkout applied to that trip only — travelers had to remember to update their details on every booking. This update means that future bookings use the traveler’s legal name required for travelling, reducing the need to reach out to Perk to correct their name.

CO2e emissions now for trains

We’ve closed the gap on sustainability data. You can now see CO2e emissions for train journeys directly in your search results—joining flights, stays, and cars for total environmental transparency.

More control over your Southwest flight

Travelers flying Southwest Airlines can now select their seats during booking when seat selection is included in their fare. We’ve updated the Perk booking flow to match Southwest’s move to allocated seating. Now, you can fly with the peace of mind that your seat is reserved before you even leave for the airport.

  • Eligibility: Available for Southwest "Choice" fares and higher.
  • Seamless booking: Pick your seat directly within Perk at no extra cost.

Note: To keep your spend controlled, we currently support fare-included seat selection only (paid upgrades are coming soon).

Managing your corporate cards is now clearer

We've refreshed the Corporate cards page to help you navigate card management more easily.

  • Easier navigation: We’ve renamed the Card transactions menu item to Corporate cards to make it clearer where to find your card information. The card selector now displays the card type as well as the name, so you can quickly identify which card you need.
  • Streamlined layout: Pagination now appears only at the bottom of the table, and we’ve made the option to view details more prominent with a dedicated button. The card visual now shows a Perk-branded card design.
  • Clearer activation: The Activate card step is now more visible, making it easier to see what you need to do when you first receive your card.
  • Simpler card requests: We’ve updated the card request process to help you choose the right options for your needs.

Stop approval bottlenecks with auto-sync OoO

Perk keeps everything moving—even when your approvers are on vacation. No chasing signatures, no checking calendars, just automated flow. You can now synchronize people’s vacation time automatically from your HR system to Perk so your approval workflows never stall. When an approver books time off in your HR system, Perk automatically syncs those dates and handles the handoff.

  • Zero manual entry: Out-of-office periods sync instantly from your HRIS (Personio, Lucca, HiBob, and Factorial).
  • Automatic delegation: Perk prompts approvers to set a travel delegate before they leave, ensuring approvals keep flowing.
  • Set it and forget it: Once a default delegate is set, future leaves are handled automatically.

To enable auto-sync, go to Settings > Integrations and adjust the settings for your HR integration.

Expense management on the go just got easier

We've redesigned the Spend tab in the latest version of the mobile app to give you faster access to the actions and information you need most.

  • Create expenses from anywhere: You can now create expenses directly from the bottom of the Spend tab home page. Just tap the button and choose your expense type—no need to navigate to another screen first.
  • Simpler expense tracking: Your expenses are now organized into two tabs: Expenses and Trip expenses. You can filter by status to quickly find what you're looking for. No more switching between multiple tabs like My tasks, Submitted expenses, and Trips.
  • Quick access to approvals: Spend approvals are now available at the top of the screen, making them easier to find and action.
  • Secure card information: We've moved your card details to a dedicated section in your profile, keeping sensitive information separate and secure.

Bulk import users with CSV files

Adding lots of people one by one is slow. Previously you had to reach out to your account admin to add or update multiple people in Perk. Now you can add up to 400 people at a time using a CSV file, update key information for groups of users, and send welcome emails right away or later. You can also update spend details for existing users, such as delegates and approval limits, using a separate template.
